Dah'Screwe Ships

The Dah'Screwe have only designed and constructed three ship types, as no companies independent of the Wetj'Ah have sufficient resources for space exploration. These ships have all-around capabilities.

All have powerful armaments, cargo capabilities, and heavy armor. Their EM shielding, however, remains behind most other races'. Large craft are normally used for cargo transport and as moderate weapons platforms in UIW conflicts. The medium ships make effective shuttlecraft, and combined with the natural hospitality of the Dah'Screwe, have created a substantial transportation industry. While roughly the size of Terran fighter craft and small shuttles, the small craft are generally used by the UIW for system reconnaissance. Small cabin size (due to the Dah'Screwe compactness) accounts for this niche.

The overall usefulness of these ships has gained a minority following among other races. Cargo holds can be retro-fitted as cockpits for bridges to accommodate larger species, but vital systems are impossible for them to work on. Therefore, Dah'Screwe ships must be serviced in their handful of systems or at the few stations with furry mechanics. While many claim this to be impractical, owners usually gain a particular fondness for their ships. Humans often refer to Dah'Screwe ships as a whole as 'The Three Bears' (after the ancient fairy-tale), and individual models as Large, Med, or Little Swiss because of their all-around capabilities.
